Ballot types and their configurations

This article describes the different types of ballot available in ELIGO.

-CANDIDATE ELECTION:
In this case, in the DETAILS section of the configuration window, you can choose the number of preferences and the enable Blank Ballot and/or Spoiled Ballot.


The maximum number of preferences cannot be less than the minimum number of preferences.
It is not possible to set the minimum number of preferences equal to 0; to allow voting for no candidate, the Blank Ballot must be enabled. 
It is possible to show candidates randomly rather than following a predetermined order in the candidate upload phase.

-LIST ELECTION
In case of a "List Election", in the third section it is necessary to configure the voting option, choosing between:
- Candidates Only
- List only;
- list and candidates.


In the DETAILS section of "candidates only"option, it is possible to select the number of preferences and the enabling of Blank Ballot and/or Spoiled Ballot. 
The maximum number of preferences cannot be less than the minimum number of preferences. 
It is not possible to set the minimum number of preferences equal to 0, to allow voting for no candidates, the Blank Ballot must be enabled. 
It is possible to show candidates randomly rather than following a predetermined order when uploading lists and candidates.


In the DETAILS section of "list only" option, it is possible to enable Blank Ballot and/or Spoiled Ballot.
You cannot set a number of preferences other than 1.

PROPOSAL-BASED VOTING.
In case of proposal-based voting, in the DETAILS section of the configuration window, it is possible to enable Blank Ballot and/or Spoiled Ballot, in addition to the voting options that will be added later.
